With a six lane 25-yard Lap Pool, a jetted Therapy Pool with children’s Splash Zone, and two hot tubs, our swim facilities provide unlimited swim opportunities for our members. Using our extensive swimming facilities, the YMCA of Portsmouth offers a great aquatics experience. Choose from youth swimming lessons, adult swim programs, water exercise classes, independent lap swimming, family play time and much more. We balance our pool schedule to accommodate both our structured classes and open swim times for fun or exercise.  The YMCA of Portsmouth is dedicated in enriching the lives of children and their families through the mind, body and spirit. Our programs and activities are designed to encourage the core values of respect, honesty, responsibility and caring in a fun filled environment. The adult health and fitness programs at the YMCA of Portsmouth are designed to help our members achieve their personal goals in a way that suits them best. With that in mind, we offer programs for everyone from our pool-based arthritis classes to our advanced sports training. We have fun group exercise classes like Latin-dance inspired Zumba, intense cardio classes like kickboxing and even classes catered to our older adults such as Silver Sneakers and Body Recall. Our nationally certified personal trainers can help on your journey to lose weight or to be that competitive athlete. We also offer complete fitness assessments to monitor your progress and overall health. Our professional fitness staff is on hand to answer your questions about our programs or give you a hand whenever you come in. |
